Let's see if something is blocking the app on your PC. Create an administrator account in Windows and then start the downloading process.

I've been going through 70 steps it feels like at this point, with no luck.
Still getting the EC:10500 error, on my pc. And so many others are getting it, EA NEEDS to fix this or come out with an actual fix that works, and not 70 steps on how it might fix the issue.
People wants to play some games, not being stuck on login screen for weeks.....
So again. PLEASE fix this stuff....
EDIT: I have 8 other launcher that have no issues what so ever, so I'm sorry for being direct with my message.
