5 years ago[Information Request] EA Desktop Crashes
Hello everyone,
We are currently investigating an issue that is causing an increase in crashes in the EA Desktop client. We are working gathering up some additional information to help us with this. If you have been experiencing crashes please try running the EA Error Reporter and share your Error ID with us here.
You can run the Error Reporter using the steps below:
- Go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop\ in Windows Explorer.
- Double-click ErrorReporter.exe to run the EA Error Reporter.
- Choose the Type of problem you’re having.
- Tell us about the issue you’re having in the Description of problem box.
- Check the box next to Share diagnostic information when report is submitted.
- Click Submit report and wait for it to complete.
- Write down your Report ID for safekeeping.
Once you have run the Error Reporter please try running the EA Desktop App Recovery tool. If you search for "App Recovery" in your Windows search box it should pop up.
Please reply to this thread with your Report ID and let us know if the EA Desktop app is still crashing after running the App Recovery tool.
