Issues with Sims 4 under Manage

I've been watching youtubers and they show on their EA app, Sims 4 under Manage, has 4 options. Manage Add-Ons, View Properties, Repair, Uninstall. The only option I see is Manage Add-Ons. I play Sims 4 through Steam app on my gaming laptop and Sims 4 is installed on my EA app. Why do I not see the 3 options? And how can I fix this problems? I do have windows 11 home. Any help would be appreciated thank you.

Here's a screenshot what I talking about

  • WildStar73  When you've installed a game through Steam, some options won't show up in the EA App.  This is normal—for example, you'd need to uninstall through Steam rather than the EA App.  To repair, open your Steam library, right-click the Sims 4 tile, and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of the game files.

As for the EA App's "View properties," it only lists the game's installed location and provides a box into which you can write commands.  The equivalent box in Steam is under Properties > General.

  • Hi, puzzlezaddict, I'm having the same issue! I followed the steps for verifying integrity of the game files in Steam, but I still don't see the "View Properties" option in my EA App. Was I supposed to uninstall the game in Steam first, and the reinstall? I'm worried I missed a step, or missed something in your explanation. Thank you!

  • bdevonm2  No, you don't need to reinstall anything.  Again, the EA App not listing these options is by design when you've installed the game through Steam.  Running a repair in Steam is not meant to fix this; I was just saying that's how you repair, IF you need to for other reasons, because you can't do it through the EA App.
