Link2EA not connecting.

If I could get some help with this, I'd deeply appreciate it.

So I recently got the ability to play Sims 4 again, and after letting it install and launching it everything worked fine. I thought "Hey, I should try and download my mods, see if I could play them!", and went to do that.

Now, whenever I try to launch the game WITH the mods in the Mods folder, the Link2EA app won't even connect and lags my internet to hell and back. I've tried looking through my Antivirus and Firewall but can't see anything out of the ordinary that would be interfering. I tried launching with only one of the mods too, and absolutely nothing changed. Clicked Play on Steam, it went through the "preparing to launch The Sims 4", opened up Link2EA and immediately the app wouldn't connect at all stopping the launch.

I am able to answer any questions needed, just if I could get some help with this I would really appreciate it. I've tried looking online and tried several different threads, but nothing seemed like my issue.

  • @Cherrydoyen  Does this happen if you open Steam and Origin or the EA App (whichever you're using) as an admin before launching Sims 4?  You can right-click on each shortcut and select "Run as administrator."

Please also let me know whether this happens if you try to play while your computer is completely offline.  You can sign into the game launchers and put them in offline mode before disconnecting.

I'd like to know which antivirus you use as well.

@puzzlezaddict After retrying it having both Steam and the EA App set on "Run as Administrator", it worked fine without the mods but then immediately refused to connect to the EA App upon trying to launch with Mods.

I tried to play with the computer offline, and it wouldn't launch even without the mods because the EA App wouldn't start up.

I also keep getting "There is a problem with your account" after it refuses to launch with the EA App.

    I have Norton Antivirus.

@Cherrydoyen  The point was to open the EA App while your computer was still online, then put the App in offline mode, then take your computer offline, then launch Sims 4.

    Hey,

I have the same issue and tried what you say. Open Ea App as admin, put the App offline and then my Pc, but still It didn't change a thing.

I played yesterday already with mods. Went off from Sims and tried at evening again with some more mods and then it stopped starting.

Do you have some other ideas without deleting all my mods?
