I'm encountering a similar issue but with Russian and Czech languages. I'm using the Mac OS version, and my system language is set to Russian, including OS, Origin, EA App, and Sims 4, all in Russian. In my game version, I have Czech, Polish, and Russian languages available. Previously, everything worked fine on Origin, but after transitioning to the EA App, Sims 4 stopped launching and displayed an installation error. After performing a restore, the game launched but in Czech language. I've reinstalled the 65 GB game several times. Once it ran correctly in Russian after reinstalling, but subsequent attempts to launch resulted in the same installation error. The most critical issue seems to be that after each restore, the game defaults to Czech language (possibly because Czech is listed first among the languages). It appears that the restore process does not consider the language setting during installation. Please investigate how localization settings are handled during the restore process. This is a critical issue for me as I am unable to play in Czech; I only understand Russian and English. CM edit: edited title for clarity.

Got the same issue and only help I got from EA was to reinstall. It did work once but after I close game and was trying to relaunch again it came up with error that there is no game installed. I have click repair and that change my language back to english. I'm really disappointed of level of help I got from EA, they clearly don't know how to fix it and instead to admit it they just waisting our time. So far they were always so good.

I have submitted a similar issue months ago: install the game in French, but game is in English (I live in the UK). I relate to all the play arounds people have described above (customer support, universal version, works once in the right language, but then an error again, etc). In my case, what I can say is that I have tested my game versions on a PC, and everything is fine!!!! So I would love people to stop suggesting that we have region locked games, because this is not the case. This is a Mac specific issue, and it is even an Mac EA App specific issue, as it wasn't happening on Origin before either.I am really angry at EA. I have spent HUNDREDS of euros/pounds for that game, and I would like to feel heard, as it doesn't seems to be the case. And I know I am not the only one in that situation... I will not buy any other EA game before the EA App for Mac is fixed.EA has to fix the EA App for Mac.

Hi, I have a problem with the language in The sims 4. When I played through the Origin platform, I had the entire game in English. I installed the EA APP, took away the free catalog with plants. I played as usual for about a week. Today I installed an update, went into the game - everything is in Czech...
-- The region on the computer is Russia, and the system language is Russian

When installing the game via the EA app, did you click on the button to change the language, followed by clicking on the drop-down to select the language you want the game to be installed in?

Hello, I bought new add on on the sims 4 ea app. When I installed it the language of the whole game changed to Czech. I always played it in polish. I can’t play the game in Czech as I don’t understand it. I uninstalled, repaired and installed again many times without the reason. I am using MacBook so having origin is impossible for me. I tried to install only the basic game of the sims 4 and it’s in polish, but if I add any add on and download it it automatically changes to Czech. I also tried to clear the cache. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @EA_Leeuw! that's right, I explicitly selected the game language during installation by selecting from the drop-down menu. I tried reinstall the game few times and pick the language in any ways, but it did not affected the result -- if the EA requested to restore game (and it did every time exept one launch), after restoring the language was changed.
if the EA app had an option to change the game language (as it was in the Origin), then all (!!) such issues would be solved!!!

Hey everyone,

I wanted to check something with you all.

Can you see if the game's language changes only when you install a DLC? Please try installing just the base game without any DLC and check if it remains in your preferred language. Then, install any of your owned DLCs and see if the game language changes.
