im glad you got it to work! It’s worth a try! I’m at my wits end and about to just give up on EA all together. I’m going to try this tomorrow and see what happens. Fingers crossed it works. Thank you for sharing

hi! if your downloading it on a hard drive or flash drive i think i found a solution! just remove all the date into another flash drive and format the drive to NTFS! it should most likely work!

I’m not saving on an external at this time. At this point the base game installed with no issues on stream and the dlc installed fine with ea. I don’t understand what’s causing the issue since this update but we really shouldn’t have to do all this to get the game to work.
I have the same issue… did you find a solution?

Hello - I wanted to move my sims 4 game from the EA app to a different flash drive but it kept corrupting and wouldn't let me move the game from one flash drive to the next. So I ended up just uninstalling the game and then plugged in my 256GB unused flash drive. Game was stuck at 96% for 3+ hours so I cleared the cache, restarted my computer, and both times I have tried to redownload to my flash drive it is stuck at 2% "preparing" anyone know a quick fix?

I've been looking to finally try other games, going back to games I've had for years but upon trying to install the game on my external SSD the EA app gets stuck on 2% preparing and freezes. The app won't even let me close it using task manager, and trying to restart my PC doesnt work either, I have to force my PC to turn off in order to restart it. Thinking its just a problem with the EA app in general, I wanted to see if I could install a game on my PC itself and there were no problems, it started downloading immediately. I've tried clearing cache, tried repairing, uninstalling and reinstalling and its not fixed.
I don't believe its a problem with my SSD, because using other launchers there aren't any problems like this (on Steam it just reserves storage and downloads normally, while Epic Games just stops and starts downloading every so often for a couple of seconds).
Are there any solutions to this?

Hello to the EA Community. I am new to the EA App, and yesterday at night, i bought Abox game pass to download some games i like, starting with F1 24. I was requested to download the EA App, so i did. Once i start to download the game, i see that it goes to 2%, then is stuck on that 2% and says "Preparing". I wanna know what's the problem with it.
