No connection on any battlefield games and friend list not loading
I am unable to connect to Battlefield 2042 or any other Battlefield game. I always receive error 1:86001S:66003S:-8917511980:0B. The EA App also never loads my friends list, although I can log in and my profile eventually appears.
I have already ruled out local issues by reinstalling the EA App and EA AntiCheat, verifying Secure Boot and TPM, running DISM/SFC, performing a clean boot, changing DNS, repairing certificates, and testing on both my home network and mobile data via USB tethering. The behavior is the same in all cases.
Based on my diagnostics, my PC can successfully reach and authenticate with EA services, and the issue persists on both my home network and a mobile data connection. However, Battlefield-specific services and the EA Social features (friends list) consistently fail. This suggests the connection is breaking after account authentication, when the EA App or Battlefield attempts to access backend services, rather than due to a problem with my PC or internet connection.
However, getting support has been very difficult. 90% of the time I cannot get through the AI maze, and when I do get out in a queue to wait for an advisor, they never show. Yesterday my browser was open for 9 hours waiting for someone.
Hope someone can help me get in contact with the correct people, because I can't play any of my games now.

Apparently, the problem was that in my router I had custom firewall rules that allowed some IRC ports (6660-6669) to be open. Once I set my router firewall back to standard, closing the IRC ports, everything started working again. Hope this may help some people.
