No Redeem Code button for Child Account
A Child Account can only log in via the EA App locally. When doing this and navigating to the "My Collection", there is no "+ Redeem Code" button. This prevents us from downloading purchased games or add-ons.

I was able to get the button to appear by downloading the app on a different computer. Logging into that one and redeeming it there. then went back to the computer they use and in the Manage Add-ons the download button was visible. I still consider this a bug as this is only a work-around.
We also reported this issue in November 2022. As of Jan 2023 the Redeem Button is now appearing on child accounts (we didn't install on another machine, it just appeared).
Must have been a bug/oversight on EA's part, but resolved now.
