Origin forcing EA App download which then crashes

Has anyone found a solution to this yet?

My mac is 2017 Mac Os Monterey Version 12.7.5 and so I don't believe that is compatible with the EA app but I can't open Origin without it forcing me to download the EA app. It comes up with an uncloseable pop up telling me to download EA which then replaces my Origin app but then crashes and won't even open!!! 

I've restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Origin countless times but it kept coming up with the pop up so I reinstalled EA countless times and it kept crashing. I am in my own personal EA vs Origin hell. Send help.
