PC EA app - Bitdefender Blocking Game Update (Detects "DiP_Staged")

Summarize your bug During updating the game, Bitdefender blocked a game file called "F1_24_Trial.exe_DiP_Staged" because it has been detected as infected with Gen:Variant.Barys.382515.
What is your 16 digit Report Code?
What peripherals are you using? Please list the exact make and model.
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider?
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Single Player
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? By changing something in a game file called "F1_24_Trial.exe_DiP_Staged"
What happens when the bug occurs? Bitdefender is blocking a game file called "F1_24_Trial.exe_DiP_Staged" because it has been detected as infected with Gen:Variant.Barys.382515.
What do you expect to see? An update without seeing any blocked by antivirus files

    Hello everyone,

    Thank you for sharing your concerns about BitDefender marking parts of the EA app as infected, which are (of course) false positives.

    We've received news from BitDefender that they will update their database, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused.

    I deleted the files that had been quarantined, updated my antivirus, and reinstalled the latest update and had no issues.

    @mghty_haggis88 There's nothing to fix. BitDefender is trash, and shouldn't be trusted. If you disable it temporarily and then take the executable and upload it for scanning on virustotal.com you will see that there will be only 1-2 matches, both marked as heuristics scanning (basically guesswork, because heuristics doesn't rely on virus signatures but is trying to be "smart" and since it isn't smart it has a lot of false positives -- after all they want to keep you scared so they can keep selling you AV subscription).

    Advice: Ditch BitDefender and use Windows Defender instead, it's free and good enough. If you really insist on paid AV, then get ESET, they are reliable and widely used in enterprises.
