Perpetual Download complete in download manager (Can't Pause or Cancel)
I tried reinstalling EA desktop but it did not work. Then because I came into the fukitall state of mind, I tried uninstalling Apex Legends by deleting the game files directly from the EA games folder, but the perpetual Download complete notification was still there.I don't know why did I think of this but without anything to loose, it seems like one of these things "fixed" the bug thing for me:do a complete uninstall (deletion) of the game that is affected and also uninstall EA desktop app.Download CCleaner, scan and delete any residual filesGo to the registry section of CCleaner and analyze every registry errors then let CCleaner fix/delete them (don't forget to back up the registry, CCleaner will prompt you to do so)after all that, restart your PC and install EA desktop again.Download the gameProfit
It is a little roundabout but it fixed the thing for me.So...
that was a pretty big mistake... not only it did not fix the thing, it won't let me install any game. So... yall better off using Origin again, for udpates, downloads and such...
although it seems uninstalling EA desktop and then fixing your registry using CCleaner works for stopping the perpetual Download complete message.
Another thing, the installation folder may have been set into "read only", if you untick that on the properties it might fix the issue IDK anymore, nobody is helping. Just be careful on editing the system files.
Again, yall better off using Origin again, for udpates, downloads and such...
