Question about EA app installation on MacBook Air

Hello! So Im trying to download the EA app for my MacBook Air to play the sims and when I click the download EA app for Mac it downloads EA app.pkg. I was wondering if this is the right installation ...

GFHFJHV​  That's the correct download, and you can double-click it to open it if it doesn't launch on its own.  I downloaded it on my Mac just now to make sure.  Installers can come as a disk image (.dmg) but don't have to; .pkg is the file extension for an installer package, which is also a legitimate way to install Mac apps.
