Re: EA App installation, "Something Went Wrong" error
@4997a0ababa2ca0bNo,no, no. You've got it wrong. My bios & something weird about my PCI-Express card make me have to use the original keyboard and a monitor that isn't the one I typically use from Dell. Having to take that express card out, too. I just didn't get into all the details. Doing a clean-boot or going into safe-mode still requires me to do the keyboard, monitor, PCI-express card things.
I'm very familiar with my computer and do know of all the pieces you speak of. I've had it since 2013. Thing is, I don't have time for this. I'm trying to save my computer right now, because my RAID-0 drives are going out. I have much bigger fish to fry than trouble-shoot for EA. The fact they don't know how to do that anymore speaks volumes to me. I used to do software tech support, and I'm a former software consultant & PC expert. They are incompetent.
So, none of the things you mentioned appeal to me or supersede what's on my plate. Games are not a priority and I shouldn't have to do all this to get that blasted EA App to work. Too many complaints on this board to think it's merely our computers and not their lack of QA'ing that app for different configurations.
These are just my thoughts, and after dealing with tech support about this, I'm more convinced than ever that EA blew it replacing Origin with this piece of junk. My configuration had NO problems with Origin.
