Which client functionality are you experiencing this bug with? Launch Game
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) 11/02/23
Summarize your bug I click to launch it gives me the error " Your game failed to launch. An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later".
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to launch anthem?
What happens when the bug occurs? My game doesnt launch
What do you expect to see? I dont have to switch to the EA app and I can play my games.

I have tried the following:

Reloaded EA app page

Ran EA App as administrator

Cleared EA App cache via EA App Recovery as administrator

deleted the game exe file and redownloaded it

Uninstalled EA app using Revo uninstaller and reinstalled EA app

Uninstalled the game and reinstalled the whole game.

All of which has not worked and now I am irritated at the lack of work that has been completed from the beta of the app you forced me to join from origin.

    I am having this same issue. Anything I found online told me to do the things you did, which I did as well to no avail. 

    Contacted EA Chat Support and they said to report here that this bug is still going on, so here I am reporting it. 

  • Hate to say they aren't too concerned with their consumers.

    Side from the things yall have down already, I'd say it's server side.

    OK i was just as frustrated as all of you and had multiple games that didn't run on ea app. By accident i figured out that i had double firewalls that were preventing game from connecting. IDK what everyone has but i had zone alarm and avg. I had to set ea desktop app and individual games not working in zone alarm. I also had to add exceptions under avg to point to ea desktop and either individual games or origin install folder which affected all games. if you have avg you need to click computer then gear icon for settings then general tab then exceptions and browse to folders you need. Full disclosure my star wars squadrons and battlefield 5 will still not go online but game will start. but anthem is working. I hope this helps. good luck

    @NATEDOGG37 May I ask how you purchased the game? I just want to know what kind of license you have. Online store download? Physical copy?

    Yeah still not working for me. I tried turning off my firewall. Still the same error as the OP of the thread. I have the Legion of Dawn version, I bought it digitally through Origin a few months after the release.

    Still problem here, i contact then over chat. And first time they change my game edition to starter i have legion of dawn edition which i got from rtx 2080 promotion. When they change it, it worked normaly, but after few days for some unknow reason game change back to legion of dawn and again same problem. I contact them AGAIN, explain everything, and they basicly said we cant do anything, we will report to other departmen, well there is no department for Anthem... so we cant play Anthem, because they dont want even look into fix. What a * joke

  • Yep...game still won't launch. I have the Legion of Dawn editions which might be an issue seeing what others have mentioned. It's pretty amazing that the only launcher that will let me play the game hasn't been able to launch the game for over a month now.

  • This is still not working for me now and the only way its to install previous version of origin launcher then it will lauch once and after an update this wil start again to not work wirh the EA launcher. This is umbelievable and we paid for this.

  • Absolutely disgusting that we get no help with this after parting with our hard earned cash, mine hasn't worked since updating to EA weeks ago

    Have asked EA for help with this and still no reply weeks later, not sure about getting the new Star wars now, don't want to be left stranded again by EA

    still doesn't work, i mean this is just stupid... its weird they don't even want to look into it. Its just freaking app problem, there is no problem with game. Something with version of the game and app. It would be nice if they just do something

  • Yeahhhhh....still not working. Can you fix your app already so I can play the game I've paid for, that would be great. 

  • The Irony, I tried to submit a ticket to resolve the issue, and there was an "error" submitting my ticket to submit an Error report about a game having Errors launching.  How is EA still in business?

    Like said in the previous post just install previous version of origin launcher and launch it once so it will work
    Then again it will update and need to install origin launcher again
    There should be hundreds maybe thousands people in the same situation that they dont even know yet. You are and have been great EA guys so please if you could look into it would be great
