- JyrFvx2 years agoNew Vanguard@Mylittlehippie How do you report an error an ea app?
- Mylittlehippie2 years agoNot applicable
On the three lines in the corner, under the help tab there's an option for EA error report. I've tried repairing the Sims 4 game too and it's saying there's an option with that so think it might be an EA issue.
@BLsWnd Most likely here. Currently I'm trying to repair the game, but it threw another error saying it couldn't download game files. Its now stuck at 14%.

Having the exact same issue, mine is also stuck at 14% repairing
- sabfuwu2 years agoNot applicable@Mylittlehippie Even if I try to repair my game, the same error pops up... It's so frustrating
- @Mylittlehippie As we all suspect, its an EA issue, so we're just going to have to wait a bit. I came to the forums first to see if it was happening to other simmers, and sure enough, it was.

mine won't repair either and now it keeps saying my files are corrupted and I need to repair my game, but it won't repair ☹️

I just went a head and reported it in the EA app and linked this post in the report, hopefully it would get fixed soon.- Lino_19862 years agoNot applicable@Mezzanotte9746 Uguale anche a me mi sa che è un problema della app di EA

I tried to repair the game 3 times and every time it came up with an error at 14%. Must be an app issue.

Been on the Sims4 Reddit page and other people are having this issue. It’s an EA app issue y’all don’t worry your games are probs fine and the app is just having a bug. Will have to give it some time- in the meantime just report this as an error on the EA app 🙂

I would like to suggest you all to disconnect your computers from Internet, clic on the three traits on the top left of the EA app window, then Help and Restar app. You should be able to play The Sims 4 offline mode, but if the EA app wants you to repair the game, don't give it the authorization and try to restart the EA app and to clear your EA app caches (three traits on top left of the EA app > Help > Recovery app > Clear cache and confirm).- Mylittlehippie2 years agoNot applicable
Unfortunately doesn’t seem to be letting the game open even when not connected to the internet, says files are corrupted- from what I’ve gathered from Reddit this seems to be the case for quite a few people too. Clearing EA cache didn’t seem to work either.

I've never been able to get Sims 4 to work offline. This time it's giving the "corrupted files" error message. 🤐

Same thing here, tried doing all the problem solving that the ea website recommends and the only thing it won't do is the repair and it just gets stuck after getting an error message. I've reported it to EA. Looks like it's an issue with the actual game though if so many people are having the same problem

Yeah this works. I actually got my game to launch offline. Once I got in there was a warning my game was updating but since my PC is not even online at all I clicked it away & loaded back into my game.
PS, how the heck do you quote on Mobile? Sorry for the bad quote of @heautontimoru

This hasn’t worked for me, it still says repairs are needed and won’t allow me to open the game at all- have tried clearing cache and it then tells me it can’t find my account
@iheartsandwichesClick on Game Option and remove the tick on something that sounds like (my game is not in English) "Download automatically", then confim by clicking on "Aplly modifications". Now you should be able to load your save game.

Yeah, offline didn't work for me either- it says repairs needed. - then gets stuck at 14% for the repairs - hopefully the server wakes up soon!
- MariexKali2 years agoNot applicable@iheartsandwiches Sadly this also doesn't work for me ☹️
- DasRabennest2 years agoSeasoned Adventurer@Heautontimoru Tried that. Doesn't do anything at all. It appears to be too late. Apparently it's already decided the game NEEDS updating before ever being playable again.
- SimsGuideDK2 years agoNew Vanguard@evelester Yeah, I also got like 14% this time around. Maybe it's jump 13% everytime I restart. ROFL (I have to laugh otherwise I'll just cry from the frustration).

I'm stuck at good ol' 1% until it shows me the download error again, lmao. At this point i'm like, "okay, who broke it..."
I'm sad to think that if you have already tried to do anything like trying downloading the (at the moment) unexisting update or repair the game because the (at the moment) crazy EA app asked you to do that, it could be possible that you'll have to wait that the EA Team will solve the issues to play again.
I just want to make it clear that to play offline you have to restar the app when Internet is completly removed from your computer: if you connect to Internet through cable, phisically remove your cable from your computer; if you use a wireless connection, turn off the wireless on your computer.
