Redeem code freeze
Hello, I started using the EA app but there is a problem when trying to redeem code from inside app, after clicking the button "Redeem code", app freezes and then shows an error message. Please see...
Let's try redeeming your code from the account management customer portal here instead. Please let me know if you have issues here as well.
Hello. I have a similar problem... after clicking "+ REDEEM CODE" in EA app on PC, the APP gets a little darker as if a window should pop up but this does not happen at this time. All of the app buttons are permanently inactive in this state. After a minute or so I get a pop up with ref. #timeout (screenshot clip attached).
When trying to redeem the code via the account management customer portal as you suggested to OP, the subpage that opens upon clicking "Redeem product code" is blank (screenshot clip attached).

Have you tried clearing the cache yet for the EA App to clear this up?
If this hasn't worked for you, and the customer portal isn't loading either, I'd recommend you get in touch with the live support team so they can look into redeeming this code manually for you on your account. You can reach out to live support via Twitter or Facebook for help on this.

it is now March, we cannot use Origin as we are forced to install this app and the issue is still now fixed??
Please fix basic functions before forcing to switch to an app, this is ridiculous.

I had the same problem, I did everything - cleared the cache, restarted the computer, and tried to redeem the code on EA webpage. Lastly, I redeemed the code through origin and then switched to EA app and installed the game. But you need to be super fast because a few seconds after you log in the Origin, EA App message pops up and you can't do anything. So the second you log in, you have to go to redeem code option. Really messy but that is the only thing that worked for me.
