Hello!
First of all, the move itself went smoothly and nothing was missing. However there are two major problems I have ever since I was forced to move to the ea app.
I had those problems even when I previously installed the ea app to check it out but soon returned to Origin, now I can not go back.
I moved 10.02.2023, windows 8, computer, install location is the one that the app chose for me
Problems:
1.when clicking on my collection I am met with a 404 error code or 500 aka mysterious error. To avoid this I always have to open the app as an administrator.
2.major main issue: The only game I own is Sims4 and some DLCs for it, I am unable to play it because it will not download, like at all.
It says "preparing" but nothing ever happens, even after waiting for more than an hour. It seems like there's something wrong with me only because everyone is past the preparing stage. So it doesn't download at all and that is extremely annoying. I tried all tricks I found online and this is my last straw before I stop trying any longer. Tricks like reinstalling the app and even origin, then repairing the ea app, clearing the caches numerous times, changing install location did nothing and some other stuff in the settings.
I understand the devs are working on all these issues but this is something that really ruins everything, I wouldn't mind lags etc. but I can't even download my paid games...
There's nothing I haven't tried yet, I looked at every post I found on here and tried their methods but not many share my problem. I have screenshots to visualize my issues.
I am a noob regarding tech stuff and English isn't my native language so I hope there's someone who can help me with this problem!
