Same problem with the same packs, here! And not a word from them about a solution...
Hi, guys!
I hope everyone is doing well.
I was finally able to fix the problems with all the add-ons I wasn't being able to install via EA App for all my games including The Sims 3 and The Sims 4 - here to share with you the step-by-step. Note: The EA App is broken. Until EA fixes it we will have to use whatever is left of Origin to do what EA App cannot.
- Uninstall all the games and EA App and Origin - if you have them installed;
- Restart your PC;
- Download and install The EA App and Origin again;
- Install all the games you want to install via EA App - leave The Sims 3 for last - put first any other game to download and then The Sims 3;
- You probably won't be able to download some add-ons from The Sims 3 and it's okay;
- Close the EA App and open Origin and login into your account;
- Origin should immediately start to repair every game you installed via EA App and also download all the add-ons EA App wasn't able to - if Origin does not start this process automatically quit Origin, open EA App, quit EA App again and open Origin again - this should do the trick;
- Wait for Origin to repair and/or download everything that is missing, then quit Origin, open EA App and repair all your games with EA App;
- Open your games and "voilá" you should be able to play all your games with all its add-ons and no issues.
For those who try this step-by-step let me know if it works with you as it did with me.

The suggestions in Post #127 don't work for me. I still am stuck unable to download Island Paradise and Into the Future

I am a PC user.
Suggestion #128 worked, thank you! - Peter7803 years agoRising Scout@hkellick Can you please try and install The Sims 3 in a different directory other than the default C:\Program Files? I have noticed that some games like Mirror's Edge don't install unless installed in a folder other than C:\Program Files due to incompatibility with the Windows 64bit programs specific folder.

@Peter780 So, to be clear, and I wasn't. I..
1. Uninstalled Sims 3, Origin and EA Play.
2. Restarted.
3. Installed EA Play and Origin, and installed Sims 3 in a different directory (a different drive even)
4. Noted it still wouldn't install two DLC and posted here.
I mean.. I can try to install on ANOTHER folder on the C: drive, I guess, but this is getting silly.

@hkellick Ok now I understand the situation better. Yeah you are right. There is definitely no need to install the game again in a different folder. I just thought that what worked for me for Mirror's Edge would work for The Sims 3. I am not really sure how this issue can be fixed.
