When I try to run The Sims 4 game, I keep getting this message. "The app couldn't read the game's license file, so If the problem continues, try clearing your cache."
I have been having this problem since the last EA App update. I can run other games with the app. It seems only The Sims 4 is affected.
I have cleared the cache several times as suggested. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App, as well as launching the EAUpdater.exe. I did the repair game option a couple of times. I have disabled my anti-virus and VPN. I have tried to find any solutions on the forum, but I have only seen other players posting about having the same problem, but not getting any answers or help.
I have been playing The Sims since The Sims 1 was released. I was even a beta tester of Sims Online. I have spent so much time and money on this game and I feel like I'm just being left out in the cold. EA just wants my money, but can't be bothered to help when they break the game.
Not that is any help to you, so sorry for the notification, but just replying here as well.
Got this for the first time today, posted my bug report in the Sims 4 bug report section, around 1400h, noticed it got moved to the EA App bug section around 1800h, no notification, no reply, posting time also changed randomly, nothing. It has been read, otherwise how could someone know to move it. Already getting the feeling of being played with to be honest, but thought that could just be my frustration. However, just found this thread, at it's quite concerning. Here's my post just in case: EC:204 game license expired | EA Forums - 12226517
For the times: it's now almost 2000h here now, so first submitted it 6 hours ago, noticed it got moved 2 hours ago.
