Another two weeks and still no help from the most useless company/employees in the world. They want our money but they wont help when there are severe problems.
Another two weeks and still absolutely no help. Surprise Surprise.

Try this:
- Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.
(Not just minimised siting in the try, completely closed!) - Press the Windows key and "R" at the same time.
- Type or copy and paste "%ProgramData%\Electronic Arts\EA Services" (without the quotes) into the new Window > ENTER
- Delete the "License" folder.
- Test
- Make sure EA app and Steam are closed.

Thank you so much for trying to help. Unfortunately, it didn't work. I even did the app recovery to clear the cache before trying to see if it worked. I also don't play the game through steam. So I don't know if that makes a difference.

I haven't been able to play my game since May. This is getting way beyond ridiculous. In all this time only one person has tried to help me.

Now the Grim login event is happening and I will miss it. Again. I missed the last one because of this issue. I can't be the only person experiencing this. I actually paid for the sims 4 when it came out 10 yrs ago. I didn't get it for free. Not to mention all is spent buying all packs. The lack of support for paying customers is insane. But I guess since it's a small percentage of people having problems, EA just doesn't give a damn about us.

I can imagine how annoyed you are. You mentioned you didn't link through Steam so that can be ruled out.
If you haven't done so yet, (I mentioned this in a different thread, so this is a quick summary.)
I went to my account page, via the EA app. The web page with all details I mean. Went through every section, refreshed and checked purchase history (all time), and every other section. Took around 15 mins due to 2FA for payment methods and sensitive data.
That's all I can suggest.
I would be furious too. Really hope you can get this sorted.
- gg13012 years agoSeasoned Newcomer@Lyonene any updates? i'm having the exact same issue after purchasing an expansion pack + updating my game yesterday. i have tried every solution mentioned in the forums with no success. this has never happened before.
it's extremely frustrating. if there is no fix i will be demanding a refund since i just spent $60 on something i have not been able to run/access. - Lyonene2 years agoRising Scout
@gg1301No, I don't have any updates. I've tried everything suggested and still nothing. I'm to the point of giving up on the game and EA as a company. And will never pay or support them again. Especially if this is how they treat paying customers. I've been playing this sims since it first came out. And I'm talking about Sims 1. So I have spent have spent a lot of money supporting this game and it's just disappointing.

Really sorry to here that. I am out of ideas. For what it's worth, good luck.
You have been pretty patient, and I'd feel the same way as you.
- Lyonene2 years agoRising Scout
Still nothing. I think it may have to do with origin. I only ever purchased the sims games and one other game through origin. I checked , the other game is also giving me Game license invalid error.

Sorry to hear that. All I can say is good luck and give you XP which may cheer you up just a tiny bit.

Another month bites the dust and still no help from one of the worst companies in the world. Don't waste your money and ever buy from EA. They don't care about their customers, only how much money they can take from them.

HI, I have contected EA help now 3 or 4 times. this time however I gave them a link to this post in hope that the tech team will see that many of us can not play Sims 4, I have not been able to play Sims 4 for 10 months now And it´s starting to get on my nerves if I am being honest ^^;
I payed good money for a game I cant even play.
(Game licence is invalid) I know I have done everything, I even got a newer PC in hope that it would work but nope.
Now I am really, really, really hoping the tech team sees this, I just want to play tha game ☹️ - EA_Leeuw12 months ago

Hi @Salla-9711 @Lyonene,
Sorry to hear you're encountering a "Game license is invalid" error while trying to play The Sims 4 via the EA app.
Could you please submit an EA app Error Reporter ID and share it here in the thread? I can forward it to the team to see if they can identify anything that might be causing the issue.
Thanks!

I've also created numerous reports but I'm assuming everyone died in that department since no one wants to answer 😂. My Error Report ID is 89e5f658-b8fd-4942-b395-42ac28ba4aa9

Did you ever figure it out? I am in the same boat. This is crap!
- Lyonene9 months agoRising Scout
No, I'm still having the problem. And still no help even after we all gave the requested info. Not really surprised by that since i've been dealing with this since May 2024.
- Duh_Bulgarian7 months agoSeasoned Newcomer
I can't even send an Error Report ID and the app says that's ironic HAHAHAHAH well played.

Was this issue ever resolved? I have just encountered this issue and have tried all of the previous mentioned steps plus some, with no resolution.
