i have done everything possible to get my sims 4 game working at first it said i needed space to download new criteria for the Mandatory update. after finally getting space it still wouldnt work. the sims game would pop up like its loading then it would just disappear. i have tried uninstalling both the EA App and the sims App i also tried restarting and clear the cache. I dont know what else to do!!
ohcna9qz9usl Please remove the saves folder from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and let me know whether it helps.
If it doesn't, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.
If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
I'm not that person, but removing my saves from the folder helped me. What can I do to keep my save files?

020602060206 Some players have said that simply making a new save allows them to add back their old saves and play them. If that doesn't work for you, try adding back any mods or custom content you were using prior to the patch, updated versions where necessary of course. Some other players who couldn't load their old saves after creating the new one have said that helps.
I'd also be interested in knowing what mods and cc you've been using, as this is a widespread issue and it would be helpful to have lists from affected players to compare.
