Sims 4 has failed to launch for some weeks now. I've uninstalled and redownloaded multiple times, repaired multiple times, as well as moved folders around and nothing seems to have worked. I've attached the error message I get when I try to launch.
hello i installed sims4 for the first time i did with steam followed every step made an EA acount and then launched the game but it always says an error on their side acoured and doesent launch the game i tried everything from task master to restarting my PC trying to launch later multiple times verified the files on steam turning off my firewall but nothing worked what should i do??
Sasha151718 I apologize for the late reply. This error doesn't have a good fix right now, but you can post in the master thread in the EA App forum asking for help:
"An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later." I keep getting this message every time I try to launch Sims4. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the EA app. I refreshed the app cache. I put in a message to support and I haven't heard back. Its a clean install so there are no mods. Its the only EA game I play, so I'm not sure if it would boot-up any other title.
Hey everyone. I'm here to report an issue that I've been having for the past WEEK, presumably following an update.
Every single time I attempt to launch the Sims 4, I am unable to reach the main menu before the game crashes. I see the blue Sims 4 logo screen followed by the spinning plumbob screen, only for it to crash after a few rotations and give me the following error in the EA app:
I have tried everything I possibly can over the past week, from uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app / Steam / Sims 4, verifying game files through Steam, forcing the EA app to update (the updater .exe file claims that the app is up to date before closing itself), hard resetting my computer between each action I take (sometimes multiple times in a row), clearing the cache, running Steam and the EA app as administrators, running in compatibility mode, installing new graphics drivers, running without my mods/CC folder, running multiple diagnostics, taking my user file out of the Sims 4 folder, and probably more that I can't recall right now. I also updated my computer twice.
I've scoured the forums and replied to posts reporting similar issues in hopes of finding something that works but have found nothing. I've also reported the issue through the EA app and tried talking to their damned AI assistant thing but still nothing. I have encountered this issue a few times in the past, usually after updates, but usually hard resetting or something of the sort fixes it pretty quickly. Some of my friends who also play the Sims 4 aren't having any problems, even those with very heavily modified games.
I also had some issues with my UI looking weird a few weeks earlier, and I've pruned my mods folder for anything that may be causing it, but everything was working as it should. That's another issue that I've experienced in the past that fixed itself after a little while, and the UI still functions so I'm not too bothered by it. Just putting it out there.
Here's the results of a dxdiag that I ran just before writing this:
I'm starting to get more annoyed than worried now. Please let me know if there's a fix for this!
Since yesterday my game has been crashing at startup. I will try to open the game, it will open a white screen, and from there it just crashes and EA provides me with a message saying "An error on our end caused the launch to fail. Try again a little later" as it shows in the attached file. I've tried every method I could find but nothing has worked. I've tried:
Moving my TS4 folder to Desktop
Starting a new save
Switching to a backup folder
Running scans/troubleshooting
Verifying integrity on Steam
Just removing my mods
Updating my computer
Clearing cache
Is there anything else that I can try to do? All help is much appreciated!
Edit: I managed to fix it, it was just a problem with my graphics
so, I am aware of my laptop not being the standards for the sims 4 to be running, but it worked for a long time until last month and obviously this month when i tried to do it again. it will not start, only time i got it to the loading screen was yesterday and it crashed after a few minutes. it had this one error message that was new, it was something to do with a video card or memory I don't know. but I keep getting this one with saying it was just an error and try again a little later. im confused and before it didnt work i would just repair it and it would be okay. my mods are out of the game, and i just keep trying. i have an asus windows 11 laptop.. the specs are > Processor Intel(R) Celeron(R) N4500 @ 1.10GHz 1.11 GHz Installed RAM 4.00 GB (3.78 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
the window specs are >
Edition Windows 11 Home Version 24H2 OS build 26100.4061 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.26100.84.0
just a little help, because i might buy a different computer for my sake and sanity + school :) (and my computer crashed for like the first time. Like those memes on YouTube.. it was crazy) and ive deleted steam because i thought it was interfering with my EA app :)
When trying to launch Sims 4 through the EA app, it says game failed to launch due to a problem on our end. I’ve tried: clearing EA cache, uninstalling it, restarting my pc, repairing the sims game and taking out my mods folder. None of it works. Any suggestions?
