SIMS 4 GREYED OUT AFTER UPDATE TO EA ON MAC

Just updated my Origin App to the EA App and now my Sims 4 game is greyed out in the library saying it can only be used on Windows. I'm using a Mac. Have tried to relaunch/reinstall Origin but it's forcing me to switch to the EA App - please help!

    Hi @sally33uk,

    Do you perhaps know how you got The Sims 4 originally? Did you purchase it via us or a 3rd party seller, did you claim it when it became free to play, or did you get it via Steam for example?
  • I'm having the exact same issue. I don't remember how I purchased my Sims 4 as it's been years, but I have always played it on a MacBook - if that would help answer that question. I reinstated my EA Play subscription (which seems to have increased in cost) and I'm really disappointed that time is wasting now that I'm unable to make use of it. There's no way to contact EA Support directly so an answer here would be really appreciated.

    Even trying to download the freeplay through the site isn't working because it keeps redirecting me to download the EA app which I've deleted and reinstalled what feels like a million times.
