"Something went wrong... To continue linking your EA account, head back and..."
I own battlefront II on epic games. Whenever I try to install it from the Epic store, I get a two-fold error message. One EA window pops up that says "The app timed out. The servers took too long to do their server thing. Make sure you're connected to the internet, and try again."
The second EA error message says "Something went wrong... To continue linking your EA account, head back and start over."
Things I have tried:
- Re-installing EA
- Clearing cache, uninstalling the EA app, and re-installing the EA app
- restarting, and doing all of the above
- running as administrator (running the uninstaller as administrator, running the main app as administrator, etc
- clearing the EA files from both programdata and localappdata, uninstalling, downloading the EA installer from the website, re-installing (running the installer as administrator), and then running the EA app as administrator.
- Logging out and trying to install battlefront II from epic with the EA app running when I'm logged out
- Logging in, and trying to install battlefront II from epic with the EA app running while i'm logged in.
- Trying to install battlefront II from epic with the EA app uninstalled
- trying to install battlefront II from epic with the EA app installed
- pulling my hair out
- crossing my fingers
- praying
How can I fix this issue?
EDIT: I have recently talked with EA live support, and they have told me "Let the team investigate. Hopefully, this bug issue will be resolved very soon," as well as encouraging me to make a post here.
However, I have not been given any steps towards a solution of any form.
