    I did manage to get it running after uninstalling an App I was using called Smart App that tracks my data and gives me rewards every couple of months. Not sure if that was the issue but the EA desktop and my Steam are now working correctly lol.

Same I get error 10005. Cannot launch the app at all.  Its mind boggling that a billion dollar company can have such absolute trash apps.
