Star War Episode 1 Pod racer

EA. (was Origen) Star wars Episode 1 start up problems on win 10 and win11 (Below is written for win11)

This has been problematic for many gamers on EA, GOC, Steam and other platforms. On Steam forums I found in a post "dinput.dll" file which has been written to make the game work. It is a good workaround file, but no good without the joystick option and it wipes all your game saves and you have to start the game all over again with keyboard only..

Many posts point towards graphics and admin or other issues but none of these l found to be the problem... or affect how the game starts in an way..

I tried 1080P start-up and other options in the EA advanced game launch options but all scrips were a waste of time..

None of the compatibility options in properties of the game exe file worked either.

The problem turned out to be in "Human Interface Devices", in DEVICE MANAGER.

Perhaps "Dinput.dll" turns off human interface devices when running game. Hence No Joystick ETC. But I don't write code so don't quote me on that lol.

On My PC (12 gen I7 ETC) I disabled "HID-compliant device" which was second in my list.

I had to go through disabling and enabling all in this list before I worked out what was affecting SWE1R Game to start.

It now works 100 percent correctly every time with Joysticks ETC.

I really hope this helps others to run EPISODE 1 POD RACER perfectly too.

May the force be with you
