Steam EA Play asks for product key on origin

Basically, bought EA Play on Steam. Downloaded BF5 and hit play, it opened Origin and said unrecognized game and asked for either game key or for me to change my origin account.

    Hey all, for issues such as this you will need to speak with one of our phone or chat support advisers who will be able to advise you further. 

     

    You can contact our live support at help.ea.com.  

    To  speak with a chat adviser:

    Click on your product Origin

    Then select 'PC

    Manage my Account'

    Can't log in

    Finally, you can choose to begin a chat or request a call back.

that does not surprise me as already many games on origin have jumped ship

it appears that origin has lost focus

this leave battlefield players in the lurch

      I'm having this problem two years later after my origin updated to EA. I'm sure they'll get back to me within 2-3 business years.

        Not sure what you mean by 2-3 years @FatalErr420, our live support team will respond generally within a few minutes or hours at the longest.
