Steam games don't show up as installed in EA app - keep validating in Steam

Hello there,  I am finishing DA: Awakening after a long time and wanted to see whether DA2 would run as flawless as the prequel does after all those years and it doesn't! Instead it opens the EA app...

    So to all the other people reading this, I fixed this by making exceptions for the folders inside my windows defender (and I turned off all start up programs completely - but that messed up the ea app! ("background programs crashed") and I turned the start up programs on again but kept the exceptions in the defender - and it worked! While not all games were initially detected as installed through EA app, starting the game through Steam resolved that issue.
