Steam Overlay is not compatible with EA Launcher?

Hello! I'm an equally avid gamer and writer, and one of my favorite parts of Origin was my ability to add its games to my Steam Library so that I could use Steam's screenshot tool to capture scenes, characters, and other parts of the game for articles I'd write for Fandom.

I've noticed that, since the rollout of the EA Launcher, I'm now unable to utilize the Steam Overlay in EA games, whether I add individual games or the actual EA Launcher to my Steam Library as "non-Steam games".

I've thus been unable to take screenshots of EA games, when once I was able to do so on Origin. I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer, whether it's guidance as to how to make the Steam Overlay (and screenshot tool) work for the EA Launcher, guidance as to if the EA Launcher has - or will have - a screenshot tool of its own, or a strong suggestion from a paying customer to fix the EA Launcher and enable Steam users to capture screenshots of their beloved games.
