Re: Sims 4 download stuck at 2%

I am having the same issue but I am trying to update the sims 4. nothing I do is fixing the download, it stays loading between 0 and 1%. 

a8msqou6bk60 nyah9  Please try uninstalling and reinstalling your 2015 and newer VC++ runtimes, which Sims 4 uses.  Click Windows key-i, select Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, click on any version from 2015 or later, and select Uninstall.  Don't touch the older versions.  You can download the newest runtimes directly from Microsoft:

You'll need both the x86 and x64 versions of the 2015-2022 runtimes, but you can skip the ARM version, which is for a different class of device.  Restart your computer after installing and before trying again to install the game.

I also have this issue but with every game I try to download. I tried this fix step by step but nothing changed. It still gets stuck at 2%

I just tried this but it didn’t work:(. I’m using the ea app by extension in xbox app if that’s useful.

sadly no, it keeps getting stuck on 2% and then I have to manually delete everything so it cancels it

Every time i try to download my sims 4 game it gets stuck on 2% can someone help me 

recently i havent been able to update my game no matter what. i did some digging and found out i had to delete the game so i did but there where some files in the delta category that just wouldn't go no matter what. then i find out there corrupted. i managed to find a way to delete them and all was well. now my sims 4 wont reinstall no matter what. its stuck at 2%. and every time i want to restart and delete the game and reinstall again i find out the files are corrupted again. can someone from ea or anyone please help me.

Bought some kits for the sims 4. Downloads normally take ten seconds for kits for me. the app will let me hit download and then with stutter between 2%, preparing. and causing an error. I've taken out mods, repaired the game, and uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I'm at a loss. I just want to play with the 4 new kits I bought.

I have had to redownload the game, but for some reason it won't download past 2%. I have tried the troubleshooting tips and have even uninstalled the EA app and tried to start from scratch but it still won't download past 2%. Has this happened to anyone else and if so what do I do?

I know this post is old but I had deleted the app like three times I just eventually restarted my MacBook and went back to the app paused the download for a few seconds and then unpaused it and it went to downloading🤷🏽‍♀️I never cleared any clache I don’t even know how to do that
