the app couldn't connect to the servers

I just downloaded the EA app and as soon as logged in it showed a message "the app couldn't connect to the servers. The EA app ran into a problem. A simple restart should resolve the issue." But I restarted the app 25 times and even tried "repair" through the installer and reinstalling the app but nothing works...
