Please describe App crashes on launch. "The app crashed unexpectedly" > "Background services crashed"
When did this happen? (dd.mm.yy hh:mm) Ongoing since the launch of the EA app.
Summarize your bug App does not launch.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch app > crash.
What happens when the bug occurs? The app crashes in a loop.
What do you expect to see? The login screen.

This has been ongoing ever since the changeover to the EA app. I thought it would be fixed in time, but it seems it has not. I've tried reinstalling vcredist packages, checking that the time is set correctly and disabling and enabling services, as outlined in other posts with similar problems. This is the only app that does this; reinstalling Windows is not an option. The launcher cannot be this fragile.

This has really damaged my trust in this company. I've bought a number of titles via Origin that I can no longer access and will buy zero from EA going forward.

    Seemingly fixed as of 13.67.0.5580. Whoever saw my bug report and pushed an update, you are appreciated.

    Nevermind, back in the crash loop. I see now this will never be fixed and support has abandoned this site.

    If anyone in the future reads this, here are the steps I plan on taking to mitigate this problem:

    1. Wait for a big discount on the Steam/GoG version of the game you want to play and rebuy it, which is what we should have done in the first place.

    2. Test that the purchased version works. If it doesn't, refund it.

    3. For any games not on Steam or with non-working Steam versions, you'll have to use your imagination with this particular "service problem."

    4. Quit giving EA money.
