Hello all,
Really looking for help as I'm unable to launch Battlefield 4 or Battlefield 1 titles through the EA Access App on PC. Sometimes I retrieve the Error 0xc000007b and other times not but the game doesn't launch either way.
Once Ive pressed the play icon through the app it seems that the EA Access app opens momentarily (I cant see whats inside the EA access app as its brief but it appears to be the same size as the login screen) before disappearing, then the EA Access icon loads on the start menu with the app re-opening fully going to the home screen where you can see your downloaded games. At this point the play icon becomes selectable once again but with the same outcome.
My Current setup is:
Gigabyte Z690 Elite Ax motherboard
Ryzen 9 7950x CPU
Gigabyte Gaming OC rtx 4090
32 GBs DDR5 RAM
Windows 11 Pro
I have read many posts on the forums here and followed there instructions set out with no luck and its really frustrating.
So far I have tried;
- Updated all drivers and Windows updates
- Running DxDIAG with no issues found
-Installing latest C++ distributable via the MS website including installing all previous versions.
- Running system file checker through Command prompt as an Administrator which found and repaired corrupted files
- Deleted Temporary files.
- Downloaded and installed .DLL files in both System32 and SysWOW64 directories,
- Ensuring NET framework is installed and selected (including earlier versions)
- Running both as EA access and the game.exe files as Administrator
- Changing Windows firewall setrings to ensure both game and EA access have full access
- Downloaded and installed Punkbuster latest edition.
- Ran both EA app and the game in different compatibility settings i.e Windows 7 & 8 etc.
- Downloading the game via Xbox App and Steam seperately, to see if it would force the launch through your app
- Installed CCleaner, cleaned registry files (on the off chance).
- Running the Activation.exe file before opening EA Access.
- Reinstalled both EA access and the game.
- Reinstalled Windows (clean installation and hard drive was formatted)
FYI - I am able to play Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042 both of which are newer titles, with no issues and Battlefield 3 which is an older title, also no issues.
Any help really appreciated.
