Summarize your bug The EA App memory use at least on my machine is extreme. It spawns processes in far excess of 1GB - mind you, just to launch, not to browse any store page whatsoever, just to start a game. This means on a 16GB RAM machine, which is still a very common configuration (and I imagine many Sims players might even work with 8GB RAM), an excess of 6% of total system memory is just used to display an EA logo in the systray. Telegram for comparison uses 100MB and is a fully fledged messenger, that's one tenth(!) of the amount while it actually does something and not just sit idle. Even the already bloated Steam needs only a third of this extreme amount. I understand browsing actual store web pages for games might quickly gobble up memory as for how badly the web works these days. But for just launching the main UI without interacting with it, this is rather shocking.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? 1. Launch EA App
What happens when the bug occurs? Extreme memory use that may even prevent you from launching a game because EA App is prone to crashing probably due to its memory waste.
What do you expect to see? EA App uses something normal like 200-300MB when idle. There are many indie games with tons of gameplay that use less than what EA App uses just to launch.
