Are you still running into this same error when you're trying to install BF2042? If so, have you had the chance to try uninstalling and reinstalling the EA app to see if that makes any difference? 

I've reinstalled EA Play, still getting this same error myself.  Theres a recommendation to install over Origin, that was even worse experience when attempting to get BF2042 Beta a month ago and Ive already purchased directly from EA Play to get the game properly installed.  I am NOT going to rebuy the damn game.

Fix this problem, and stop recommending basic answers.  This has been one of the worst installation gaming experiences of my 38 years of gaming.  The Beta left such a bad taste in my mouth I figured you'd guys would have had it figured out by now.  I just keep getting this same error no matter what I do.  I meet all requirements for minimal PC specs, and I have plenty of hard drive space.  If you guys would only create an installer that properly works or choose a third party that isn't trash, I might actually WANT to install and actually BE EXCITED to play this game.

Right now with all the repetitive problems you have with JUST THE INSTALLATION, why would I want to play the game?  This is too much damn work for the CUSTOMER - FIX YOUR PROBLEMS!  You might want to start by 1) hiring new developers, and 2) NOT hiring developers coming out of Activision companies.

PS, I paid extra bucks to play early, and yet here I am not able to play because I can't get past this error.

I am having the same problem. I honestly don't think I'll ever pre-order anything ever again from EA.

I reinstalled the app still no difference

Why do the users always get the finger pointed at them when this app is total pants! I am fed up of companies passing the blame to the user when it is their crap software that is at fault. I get EA as part of my Xbox ultimate subscription and it is that dodgy I never install or play anything from it. You need to dump all these games onto the Xbox servers and let Microsoft handle them via their app. At least Microsofts app works!!
