Shouldn't matter if you exit the EA App first, killing the background services seems to kill the app too. After relaunching the EA App, my games load properly.
@thecharsims Have you tried these steps? I understand that this is a frustrating situation and we need to be mindful of what we say on the forums. If a post is reported, action can be taken.

@EA_Shepard Me too - can't see the Me Too button. I'm having the same issue, and using task manager to turn off the EA Background Service resolves the issue
