TS4 Stuck on Finalizing (73%) on Install - EA App and PC

Question

I have tried everything to get the game install and it stays stuck on finalizing at 73% no matter what. I reached out to EA’s tech support several times and they have been no help. I cleared the cache of the EA app, tried to run it as an administrator, changed the DNS settings, deleted the %temp% files, tried to locate and disable any possible background task that could be blocking the install, added the EA games folder and the TS4_x64.exe process to my virus exclusion list.

Firstly, I was trying to download the game onto my newly installed secondary drive and thought maybe that was the issue so I have since started an entirely new install on my C drive again and it’s still stuck on finalizing. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the EA app and that made no difference. I also even reinstalled the origin app to download it from there but it gets stuck on finalizing at 100%!

I am at a loss. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much!

@abornsimmer I just wanted to give clarification on how I fixed this issue since I couldn't seem to find help anywhere else. I came across a forum where someone suggested to check the Install log so I did that and found a line that said "Installation Registry Missing. Game not yet installed" so I proceeded to reach out to EA for help since I thought I found the problem. They still didn't know what was wrong, so I started searching what a Registry was on PC, since I had no idea. After this, I realized that the problem must be do with some corrupted or missing Registry files so I opted for a reinstallation of Windows on my computer. It wiped all of my apps, but that solved the issue! The game finalized almost instantly after I reinstalled the EA app. Hopefully this is helpful to anyone else that ever experiences this obscure problem.

I'm running into the same issue but I do not intended to go about it the way you have. I respect your tenacity but I shouldn't have to re-install my entire Windows just to play a game.
