Unable to download purchased DLC on the EA App

I recently bought a couple of kits for The Sims 4, since I bought them several days ago I have been unable to download them.

I've tried going to "manage" → "manage add-ons" under The Sims 4 in my downloads tab on the lefthand side. The two packs I haven't been able to install are at random points of the list with the blue "download" button next to them. When I click on "download" the EA App pauses for a moment and the list just refreshes and the download does not start. 

I've also tried going to the pages dedicated to the specific kits I bought on the EA app and the "download" button appears on them, however the same thing happens where the EA App freezes briefly, refreshes and nothing happens. 

I've never had this issue before and seems to have appeared since the last Sims 4 update as of 28th Jan 2025.
