Unable to launch Fifa 22

Was able to play Fifa 22 on my device until today (last played a few days ago). I originally bought it on Steam and it was working (albeit I had to run the .exe as admin from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FIFA 22\FIFA22.exe). Have always had to do this.

When I click on the file and run as admin it tried to use Origin.  It seems Origin does not exist anymore so have had to the install EA app on my Windows 11 laptop.

It still does not launch, either when running as admin from the above file location or from EA and selecting it (also had to pay for EA Play Pass as it was no longer in my list of available installed games).

Does anyone know how I can fix this? (haven't rebooted, but I will).

So frustrating that this great game struggles to load without us having to check overlay settings etc or changing the default security permissions to some local file locations, it seems crazy to me.
