I have purchased Battlefield 2042 on steam but I am unable to get my product key to activate the game on Origin. There is no product key in any of the emails that I have received from the purchase and I am unable to obtain it through my steam library.Does anyone know how I can obtain the product key on steam so that I can activate the product key in Origin?Thanks.

My bad if this is an insultingly obvious recommendation, but I was having this issue and it turned out my Steam account was linked to a different Origin account I hadn't used in a while. So it asked for the activation code for the Origin account I was currently signed into, but when I signed out and into my other account, it automatically opened the game without any issue. So if you have another Origin account, try signing into it and see if that fixes it.

Same boat. Shelled out the extra dollars for the Gold edition, so I could play this weekend. Getting a refund, this is ridiculous.

I've been trying and ea won't link my steam account i clicked your link and it did nothing it had me sign in reset my password and still the same problem no key for a game I just spent money on

Anyone got any updates on this. Have looked everywhere online, uninstalled and reinstalled origin and cleared caches all to no avail.

no help from either side cant play the game , really considering and refund

this is thee main issue check if you have any other accounts this was my problem and remadee my password and it workeed

That was my thinking too @qk347, if you can't link your Steam account, then it could be that you have linked the Steam account previously to a different EA account.

The tips that I gave above should help you locate the correct EA account.

I am having the same issue. I installed it correctly from Steam but Origin still wants an activation code. The only difference is that my steam account is linked but yet Battlefield 2042 still wont launch without an activation code.

In that case you might be logged into an EA account that hasn't been linked to the Steam account @csrl07.

Now this message wasnt for me but still ive signed in with the right account that has and it says on the app that it has linked it but i doesnt show battlefield 2042 it shows battelfield 4 and 5 but not 2042
