Unable to redeem coupon from Sims survey?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong. The EA app keeps saying "Your order could not be completed". Is it a server issue or am I trying to redeem my code in the wrong place?

    Have you tried to use the code while making a purchase? I believe the code is for a $5 discount whenever you want to buy a Sims pack, so it may need to be used while you're trying to purchase a pack, and not as a regular game code 🤔

    Yes, that's right. It was sent out a few days ago to a few select players.

    I have been opening the EA app, clicking on my username/icon, and opening the "Redeem Code" tab.
