- bohemond19803 years agoSeasoned Traveler@Ringwraith213 I still can't get it to work
I have the same problem, cannot launch Crysis 3 Standard Edition (I don't own any DLC) from EA app.
Every time I try to run it, I get the error "Your game failed to launch. An error on our end caused your launch to fail"
With Origin it was working without any issue.
I tried every recommended solution, but nothing helped:
-reinstalls
-run both EA app & game with Right click -> Run as administrator
-run EA error reporter
-disable EA app ingame overlay
-trying to launch EA app with EADesktop and EALauncher
Does anyone have a working solution to this?
Edit: on 27.05.2023 I tried to launch the game again, and suddenly it started to work, just like in the old days.
Most probably there was an EA app update in the last weeks or days, however I didn't noticed it (EA app is not showing any status, updates or anything).

still no fix; welp not buying a single ea product until they unfubar this.
- @WWDiver1 Little late on the reply but ehh, open the start menu and type in powershell, click on Windows PowerShell to open it, it should show you a blue or black box in which you can input code then follow the posted steps.
Come to think of it, if you follow all the steps you might be able to delete the folder by just browsing to it and hitting delete instead of using code, I just happened to do it this way.
Also, it isn't my native language either so don't worry haha. I have the same issue. Windows 11 22H2 x64, clean boot, latest drivers 3080 16gb 5900HX with 64gb ram and 2TB ssd raid 0.
Unable to launch any crysis game 1-2-3. However all my other games work as expected. I am in admin mode with admin account.
Mass effect for example works flawlessly. Crysis 1-3 won't even launch. Also tried reinstall/repair of both EA app and Crysis games, but it didn't work.
Also tried installing DirectX from microsoft.
You can uninstall the "Lost Island" DLC properly by following the uninstall command listed in the registry. Open CMD as admin. Run the following command:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\EAInstaller\Crysis 3\C3DLCPack1>Cleanup.exe uninstall_pdlc -autologging
Problem solved.
