I have this bug. Kept logging out and back in to try and fix it.
But nothing worked.. It didn't even show a blank screen.. Just nothing but the icon as if it was active in the taskbar.
If you have multiple monitors, it seems messing with those fixes it. Something rendering wise is going wrong with the EA App.
Change default monitor. It will probably still be broken, change the monitor back to the original default and it will appear.
Unsure how else to fix it if no extra monitor.. maybe try changing the resolution to something else and back. Basically you wanna trigger the desktop to sorta force it to show.
Just a buggy app.
Shame on EA for ignoring this for many years..
