I gave it a go but sadly the pop-up appears too quickly. However I saw someone suggest downloading an older version of origin (around 2021) and it worked perfectly! I can finally play my games again after like 3 weeks 😅
And now: spread the word! 👍
The only problem is that it’s not the most recent version, so I don’t have the infants update, but hey I’m just happy I can actually play the game I paid for again
This worked for me aswell. I downloaded the september 2021 version of origin. Installed it with the EA app on my pc. Dont tick the box that updates your client. Games updated itself, and i was able to play.
Well, I had uninstalled all game data previously to see if that helped (it didn't...); so, Origin made the recent update in background while the EA-App wanted to.be installed - which I didn't, because of the new background new install of ThEeSims4. Maybe, but only maybe, this can work for you, too. The procedure would be to
- save your game
- close Origin by using task manager
- copy save files & mods
- uninstall origin, game AND anything related to EA (best by using some free uninstaller)
- install Origin
- wait for your game(s) to be downloaded (and updated instantly) and "ready to play"
- uninstall Origin
- install Origin again
- start your game (be fast...)
That's how I did it, and it worked perfect.
Anyway, it will take some time and is risky though; so, better think twice if it's worth it...
