EA app can't find my account when trying to reset the password

I admit I haven't been logging in for quite some time, 3 or 4 -ish years I guess, into the EA app and now when I try to do that it tells me that something is wrong or that they expired and tht I could reset the password. The thing is, it wouldn't be a problem if it actually let me do that, when I actually try it the app tells me that this account can't be found. I have always, since Origin, been logging in to the same account, I did not make any mistakes in the email nor the password (and I tried 2 passwords that I remember vere being tied to this account), I still have access to the email, yet for some reason I can't do anything.

I wouldn't have such an issue with this if not for the fact that this account had expansion packs redeemed on it and I can't even prove it except a photo of the physical boxes with CDs because it was either bought too long ago for me to have the receipt or I was gifted that and naturally did not receive the receipt (I also got the game itself when it was still not free on EA app, sold on CD and run through Origin so there's that). I managed to log into an account that I thought was the one I was trying for but it doesn't have any of these add ons even after I clicked the repair option and manually searched for them in the library.

This makes me ask, is there anything that can be done about this or should I just come to terms with losing my add ons?

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble getting back into your account. If you're using the same email and that's no longer coming up as a valid account, it's possible that was either disabled or someone else may have gotten into the account. 

    There are security steps here that may be worth checking through if you think there's a chance someone else gained access to your account or computer. Whether that's the case or it was just disabled, you'll need to get in touch with our support team to help recover the account itself. As they'll need to discuss private account details, that is not something we can assist with here on the forums.
