Godfather 2 pc game doesn't start and how I find the licence server?

I want to play the PC game Godfather 2 but everytime I try to launch it says, "The game can not start. There seems to be a problem contacting the LICENSE SERVER. Ensure your internet connection is active." I went to the folder where the game is located, but I did not see the LICENSE SERVER. I do have internet and my computer works fine. Can you please tell me what the LICENSE SERVER looks like in detail and help me fix this so I can play the game that I very loved when I was child.

P.S. The game I bought in the past is original on a disk, PC DVD-ROM.

    Check your install folder Rolf2002​ and see if you have paul.dll and WINUI.dll listed there. 

    If so, delete both and then try launching the game again.

    Hey EA_Darko​ I tried that and i still have the problem of it will start up sit on a black screen for about 10-30 seconds then close its self. I checked for paul.dll and WINUI.dll and deleted them and still cant load the game

    With older games on newer systems lil_trawler​ you may run into issues like this and the best thing we can recommend is to continue troubleshooting. Try running in comparability mode to see if that helps.

    EA_Darko​, Ive tried running it in windows xp (service package 3), windows vista(service package 3), windows 7, windows 8, told the godfather.exe to run as admin, disabled fullscreen optimizations. do you have any other ideas?
