I want to play old EA games

I want to play old EA games, but they are no longer sold, and they are not available from the sellers on EA's list of trusted retailers either. and EA has no statement regarding these games being abandoneware. how can I play these games?

  • Hi oOoSoNMeZoOo,

Would second-hand copies be an option for you? A lot of the older games might be possible to get on disc that way - I recently found all of my old Command & Conquer and The Sims discs, for example, so other people might be listing ones you're looking for.

Out of interest, which ones are you trying to find?

Unfortunately, I don't have the option of second-hand for every game. For some games, second-hand discs may be available, but they are very expensive. I'm not a collector, I just want to relive the nostalgia by playing the game. I wanna play FIFA games from the 2000s and 2010s and cult classics like Underground 2 and Most Wanted from the NFS series etc. EA has made no statement regarding the status of such games.

Yes, I can see costs and availability being an issue. A lot of second-hand stuff is cheap, but if they're sought-after games, then I can definitely see the prices getting absurd (like the second-hand copy of "Rule of Rose" that was being offered for about £400.00 back in my home town a year or two ago). Would an emulator be an option for you? I don't know about the very old FIFA titles, but you could probably find emulator versions of a few of the NFS games.
