Is this how EA support will work from today onwards?

Hello

I'm trying to contact EA support to resolve my issue.

The answers I received via email were completely unhelpful, and it felt like I was writing to an AI bot.

They told me in several of these emails that to get help, I have to continue my case via chat.

That's what I was told.

"Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your EA account.
  2. Go to My Cases.
  3. Select your existing case from the list and then select Continue Case to start a chat with someone from our support team.

Why chat? 

The chat connects you directly to a member of our support team who can pick up where your emails left off."

What you can see in the attachment, if it's displayed, is an endless loading screen.

This is what I get when I try to resolve the case with EA support via chat.

I cannot get in touch with EA support even when I follow their own instructions.

 

My case was simply closed by EA and the problem was not resolved.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but in my opinion, support shouldn't function in this way.

    Tested it there Seck7​ and was able to create a case, could  you try a different browser or even device to see if you have the same issue?

    Can happen that an extension for your browser blocks the chat.

    I tried two other browsers; the only difference is that with Microsoft Edge, the description of my problem is still visible in the background, while the permanent loading screen is in the foreground. I have no extensions enabled in Microsoft Edge. The other browser is Mozilla, and it looks exactly the same as the Chrome browser. Nothing happens on any of the three browsers, even after hours.

    Can you test on a different device Seck7​ or network even?

    Testing again here and I am able to create and open a case and get to support.

    You can ensure that all extensions are disable, popups not blocked and that your security software is not blocking it.

    I tried it with my smartphone using both mobile data and Wi-Fi, but it's always the same result. Perhaps this feature doesn't exist in Europe.
