Not receiving 2FA codes via iCloud and tried everything

hi,

i'm posting for help because my brother's account (which we share) is impossible to get into rn. he knows his password and everything, but the 2FA codes just aren't coming through to his email (its an icloud email if thats significant) that is connected to the ea account

what we've already tried:

  • checked spam/junk/promotions folders multiple times
  • whitelisted and VIP'd EA@e.ea.com
  • tried requesting new codes several times
  • followed all the troubleshooting steps from other forum threads
  • double-checked the email address is correct in account settings (can't fully access to change it in ea.com though due to 2FA)

i've also seen youtube videos/reddit/facebook posts where people are having the exact same issue, so it seems like this is a broader problem. has anyone found a solution that actually works?

he's also tried signing in with icloud by pressing the apple symbol when it prompts you to log in, and when we do that it then prompts us to "create an account" even though the account has already been linked to the email- when we follow through with the steps to "create the account" it then says that there is already an account linked with this email and then tries to send a 2fa code (which never comes through)

would appreciate advice or if someone knows the best way to get actual EA support to help with this since the automated stuff isnt working

thanks

best course of action in a case like this is to contact EA Support. For that, please fill out the form saying that you can't log in and then choose the option of either a live chat or e-mail to get in contact with support.

There's no e-mail to specifically contact Support over - it's only possible by creating a case through the website.

If you want to create a case through e-mail, you might have to change the topic when filling out the form until you find one that allows you to create an e-mail case. Most of the time though, a chat is the easiest option in this kind of situation as it will be a lot faster than an email case, which can take several days for all the replies.

Agents should generally always be availalbe - if you get the message that a chat is not currently possible, please try a different browser.

Im not getting the option for e-mail to get in contact with support, only the ea live chat which I dont have good experience with in the past because of the self-destructing chat + agents not being available at the times im available. Do you know of the official ea support email that i could write an email to?
