Season 5 Ladder

I’m interested to know the best ways to gain XP, I have made it to level 34 without a problem but xp gain has became non-existent I’ve played multiple games of rush, rivals and squads battles but never seem to earn xp from these games, I’ve tried googling the best ways but it only recommends challenges, which I have completed, any ideas please let me know
